Bolton Library correspondence

ZWN/10. These items cover the foundation of the 'Walt Whitman Birthplace Bulletin' and include memorobilia related to the opening of the Walt Whitman Bridge between Philadelphia and Gloucester in the United States. Correspondence with the Bolton Reference Library discusses how Minnie Whiteside was able to pass-on J.W. Wallace's correspondence; however, other letters, produced by Charles Sixsmith dispute whether Minnie Whiteside really deserves the credit for such gifts or if the credit for their preservation truly belongs to a Mrs Sprague. These items include comments from Anne M. Traubel on the plaque to be placed upon the painting of the Rivington lakes and advice from the chief librarian at Bolton Central Library encouraging the publication of another edition of "Harvest in the North".
